To be selected, the nominee must receive at least five votes.  Approval of nominees will not be made if there are less than five members present.  If only five members are present, then it will require four votes to approve a nominee.

HISTORY
The Alabama Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame began inaugurating members on March 7, 1992 in Montgomery, Alabama with 15 inductees. It was sponsored and maintained by the Alabama Amateur Softball Association (AASA) and Alabama Commissioner, G. Pat Adkison, from 1992 until 2005. In 2005, the Alabama ASA Hall of Fame Trust was formed to own and operate the Hall of Fame independently from AASA in future years. The legal Trust Document has been duly signed by all interested parties, after unanimous approval by the staff of AASA, and is now properly filed with all whom it is necessary, including the National ASA Office. G. Pat Adkison served as the Hall of Fame Trustee for 27 years, retiring as the Trustee March 2, 2019.  On that date, he appointed Jerry Logan as the Hall Trustee at the annual Induction Banquet.  A committee of six advisers are selected by the Trustee, with the Trustee serving as chairman.  The duties of this committee comply with the duties described within the Trust.  Primary duties are to raise revenue for the construction and maintenance of a permanent AASA Hall of Fame building as well as overseeing the promotion and continuation of the AASA Hall of Fame.

Donations are encouraged and needed for the operation of the Hall of Fame. Donations are accepted at any time. They should be sent to Jerry Logan, Trustee at the following address: 8500 Sanders Ferry Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
